Regarding Life
April 6th, 2002A few days ago a friend of mine and his wife had a beautiful new baby boy.
This was perhaps a personal milestone for myself, believe it or not, as I haven’t been exposed to very much “new life” with people who were both close to me and of my generation. I’ve had this friend for almost 20 years. I couldn’t be happier for him.
Across the world, people are fighting two wars, which have been going on for years.
Perhaps in these two scenarios, it could be argued that one would not make sense without the other. But I sincerely hope not.
Next month, Liz and I are going to visit Europe — a first for the both of us. We both plan to learn a little more about the world and hope to be exposed to parts of it that are full of culture, history, and life. Because in both our hearts, we know that life is simply meant to be celebrated and lived — in every regard and in every place.
