Tainted
September 23rd, 2002There probably isn’t a single person on the web I respect more than Jeffrey Zeldman. He is hands-down the prototypical self-made web guru, or what all of us joining this game should aspire to be. Over the years, I have taken pleasure in watching him grow both as an advocate for web standards and a free-thinking writer with admirable human tendencies.
But the man has had more problems with his hard drive than anyone I’ve ever seen. His recent OS X Blues (I still remember the OS 8 Blues) details the confusion and havoc that a major upgrade can cause (to anyone, obviously, not just him). I just hope this latest incident doesn’t further taint his distaste of Apple’s now semi-new OS. Mac OS X is rich, powerful, and standards compliant to boot. I’m certain his “old-fashioned resistance to change” is bound to take a liking to it—and more sooner than later.
