It’s in the Contextual Menu, Stupid

July 21st, 2003

Chalk this one up to my own ignorance. Having recently upgraded to pMachine Pro 2.3, I thought it would be nice to give pMpost another try, seeing that my last attempt was a bust.

Using the program for only 5 minutes, I took it upon myself to email Elwin Zuiderveld, the creator, with some suggestions I thought might improve the application. Y’know, because I know everything, right? I even sent him a screenshot, which I’m much too embarrassed to include here, as it blatantly rips off elements of a certain text editor I’ve grown fond of over the years.

Anyway, Elwin was kind enough in his reply to gently inform me that most of the things I was suggesting (text formatting buttons and such) actually exist within pMpost. In fact, they’re right here in the contextual menu. Now, I’m bolding, italicizing, and checking my spelling—all within a nice Mac OS X GUI.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this new little extension to my blogging world, which makes me look forward to finding new ways of sticking my foot in mouth all over again.
