I was born the son of an inner city school teacher and a union steel worker. Some might say I never had a say in choosing my politics, but that’s not true. My father was apolitical while my mother was probably too open-minded never too closed-minded enough to sway me in either direction. But somehow, somewhere along the line I began to develop and believe in a critical process. And while I haven’t always voted with my party, I feel more like a Democrat today than I ever did.
And right now that’s a pretty good feeling.
