mschindler There’s no point in trying to come up with the perfect combination of words to encapsulate this site and me. As I’ve said many times before, this is just a hobby. So let’s just start with some basic facts. The whole thing started back in 1998 (way before the invention of the word weblog) and it has continued into the present as the colossal exercise in vanity that it is. For better or worse, I have spent a good part of my life sharing tidbits I’ve lumped into basic categories such as life, politics, and culture. Terribly original, I know. Those just happen to be the areas where the OCD needs the most release. I’m a former art student who’s been fortunate enough to work professionally as a creative developer for many years at many companies, both large and small. My freelance persona is known as Pixel Skillet.

On the personal tip, I have a wife who I adore and a son who I believe was sent from a certain place above in order to square things up.

But that’s enough about me. Mull around a bit and enhale the effervescent vapors.

Site History

Over the course of too many years, this site has been many things. Starting out mainly as a portfolio of sorts, the site soon became a weblog, complete with rants, comments, and flame bait to boot.


Although my writing style doesn’t always elicit an immediate response (or reading, for that matter), you’re more then welcome to make comments. Just stay on topic and refrain from getting too personal. That means you, Meathead.

I usually never talk about work or business and I always steer clear of “venting” about people I know personally. If I ever break either of these two cardinal rules, you have my permission to call me on it using an indignant tone.
